NOEL GUEVARA
Noel Guevara is a photographer, filmmaker, National Geographic Explorer, and PADI Instructor based in Manila, Philippines.
Noel focuses on the Asia-Pacific region and specializes in impact stories from the Philippine seas. He covers ocean conservation, climate change, single-use plastic issues, and the complex, personal stories of the relationships between coastal and urban communities and the sea.
He is currently working on his National Geographic Society grant-funded documentary "Tales from the Triangle" and his self-funded adventure documentary series "Life Uncharted" on YouTube.
Noel is an ambassador for Columbia Sportswear, 22 Degrees Ocean Jackets, TUMI, and ThinkTank Photo.
CORE PADI COURSES
The PADI® Rescue Diver course will change the way you dive – in the best possible way. Learn to identify and fix minor issues before they become big problems, gain a lot of confidence, and have serious fun along the way.
PADI® Rescue Diver requires EFR certification (sold serparately).

PADI® Open Water Diver is the first scuba certification level. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to enhance your diving skills and open up new adventures. You'll complete two required dives—deep diving and underwater navigation—then choose three additional specialty dives based on the local environment and what excites you most, for a total of five dives. Each specialty dive you complete can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications.

I’d been putting off getting scuba certified for over six years, so finally taking the giant stride (pun intended) and learning from Direk Noel made it all the more worth it.
We were lucky to be part of his first batch of students, and he set the bar incredibly high. The entire experience exceeded expectations, with some awesome unexpected perks during dive weekend—like a suite upgrade at The Asri and even getting the chance to try backplates.
There were definitely some hilarious moments too (including me losing both my fin and DSMB ), but through it all, Direk was calm, patient, and supportive. He created an environment where no question ever felt silly / stupid.
